Protection for you
We recognise that you may well have concerns about security on the internet. Our site uses a secure server that implements secure sockets layer (SSL) technology in our on-line ordering and payment process to protect your payment card information.

geotrust.gif This site has a certificate issued by the independent and globally accepted certification authority GeoTrust. This certificate indicates that you can conduct secure online transactions with us with confidence. The browser's "LOCK" icon is activated and the secure mode enables up to 256-bit encryption and ensures that confidential information and transactions cannot be viewed, intercepted or altered. Please click on the dated and timed GeoTrust logo on the left to view our certificate.

The actual payment stage where you enter your card details is managed externally to our site by the HSBC Secure e-payment process so at no time do we store your card information which is encrypted and hidden from our view by the HSBC systems.

Order and Pay securely with confidence

When you have finished selecting the products you wish to purchase you may proceed to place your order by clicking on the 'checkout' button. Immediately, your browser will go into secure mode, you will see the padlock icon appear on your screen and the url address prefix change to https: to identify that the site is in secure, encrypted mode. The site then stays in this mode until your order process is completed.

If you choose to pay by credit card online your browser will be connected to the HSBC and will continue in its secure mode while you are there. You can verify the identity and status of the site by clicking on the padlock icon on your screen.

Data relating to your identity and your payment card details will be securely transmitted from your screen to the HSBC Secure server in an 128-bit encrypted format. The HSBC will then verify your details with your bank/credit card company and attempt to process the transaction. If there are any errors, for example if you enter a wrong number, or your address doesn't match the card, you will be given the opportunity to resubmit or use another card.  If the transaction is successful you will receive an order confirmation from us to your email address.

Our systems only see and store your shopping cart and your login details - which you can also see via Account & Order Details  when you are logged in.

Other Ways to Pay

Even though our systems are as secure as they can be you may still feel uncomfortable about sending your card details over the internet. In which case, once you have created your cart and registered you can contact us for other ways to pay at no extra cost.  We can offer you the following options:

  • Credit card over the phone/fax
  • Credit card/cheque by post
  • Electronic Funds Transfer (or EFT) direct from your bank to ours
