Our DIY Hints and Tips Pages

We have collected a large number of useful pieces of information over the years which we hope will help you with the measuring up, accurate ordering and eventual assembly of your kitchen or bedroom. Our products are not Ikea-like volume production, identical construction that many are familiar with. We provide made to measure kitchen and bedroom furniture for professional fitters, joiners, carpenters and builders PLUS the skilled and competent DIY person.

We have chosen the suppliers of our products individually so that we can offer carcasses and door products from the best of the best manufacturers in their individual specialist areas. Consequently in order to produce the finished product there is some precise work left for you to do. In particular the fitting of doors to cupboards and wardrobes, drawer fronts to drawers and cupboard tops to bedroom cabinets.

By way of assistance we have some guides available for you to download on the right, here. Also we are creating a library of articles to help you with other aspects of fitting your own, tailor made bedrooms and kitchens.

Check your Order

The most important tip we can give you is to remind you to check your order thoroughly before finally submitting it. We do receive orders where the custom sizes are not apparent on the order or the hinge holes have been forgotten. This will lead to disappointment on the delivery of your products rather than the delight that so many of our customers experience. When you have completed your purchase please take time to check the actual order (i.e not the cart) to be sure that it has been received correctly.

At every stage of the shopping/buying process you have the opportunity to print out the contents of the shopping cart using your browser print capability. If you have registered with us and are logged in you can leave and return later as many times as you wish and all your shopping cart will have been saved for up to 30 days after your last log in. You can also save and name your cart using our unique Save Cart facility and go on to build multiple carts.

We strongly suggest that you take the opportunity and time to sit in your kitchen or bedroom with your order printed out in front of you and methodically check it for completeness and accuracy.
