Here are five ways to redesign your bedroom using sliding wardrobe doors from DIY Homefit.

A sleek contemporary look

The beauty of sliding doors is that they give your bedroom a wonderfully sleek and contemporary look, whilst concealing a multitude of clutter behind them. Natural coloured sliding wardrobe doors give a chic and minimalist look to any bedroom and act as a subtle centrepiece to the room.

The doors pictured below are our Lissa doors in Medium Oak, with a ridged frame.

A hidden dressing table

A clever thing about sliding wardrobe doors is that you can configure the inside of the wardrobe in any way you want to. So if you like having a dressing table, but hate seeing all the clutter every time you walk into your bedroom, then why not build a dressing table area into your wardrobe? Instead of having just hanging rails in the wardrobe, add a shelf and drawers to one half of it. You can then use that area as a dressing table.

So the outside of your wardrobe could look wonderful with sliding doors like the Bright White glass and Champagne Avola combination pictured below. Then all you would need to do is simply slide one of the doors open to reveal your hidden dressing table.

A walk in wardrobe or dressing room

Whilst we’re on the subject of dressing tables, why not go one step further and create your own private dressing area? If you have a bedroom with an alcove, then you could use some chic sliding wardrobe doors to partition off that area and make it into your walk-in wardrobe or dressing room.

Having a walk-in wardrobe or private dressing room might be something you have always dreamed of – and something that could actually become a reality in 2021!

The image below features our fabulous Pearl White glass doors . . . . but who’s to know what is really behind them?! We also love the way that the doors reflect soft light around the room, giving it a peaceful and serene ambience. Win-win!

A funky den for your teenager

By now you are probably wanting to get on and update your own bedroom. And rightly so. But don’t forget the kids too! With some bright high gloss sliding wardrobe doors you can totally transform your child’s bedroom quickly and easily. The stunning red glass doors, with polished ridged frame, pictured below would appeal both to younger and older children. The sliding doors also free up space in front of the wardrobe, giving them more floor space to do their thing.

More light and space for a small room

In case you were wondering whether our sliding wardrobe doors are only suitable for larger bedrooms, the answer is no. They work equally well in smaller rooms. They can save a lot of space in front of the wardrobe, because you don’t need to leave room for the doors to open outwards. They can also help give the illusion of more space, especially with the clever use of mirrored doors, such as the silver bevelled mirror doors shown below. The mirrors reflect light around the room and make it look much larger and airier than it really is.
